Key problems.
Hey guys I was wondering whats the best place to get a new key and ignition for my bike. I have the barrel key but of course it broke, the tab that holds it in. I want a regular key. Looking for something simple to put where the factory one is. Thanks in advance.
Check out your local locksmith. They can usually get you the key and grind it for next to nothing. Plus, they will guarantee their work. The keys should not be encoded, so any blank should work fine.
Also, here are a few blanks for pretty cheap.

Did Harley change the key? Mine does not have a tab that holds it in. My tab just indexes it weather it's locked or unlocked. I would get another key so the fork lock is the same. What is a flat key they are referring to at the site?
Sounds like whoever rebuilt it stuck on a Cruiser/Touring cylinder on it. The Sportster has a unitized key that operates both the fork lock and the ignition, at least 2007 and up they did. The round key is found on bigger Harleys such as Road Kings.

Unless it has changed recently, all Sporties use a flat, double cut key.
I prefer flat keys as it's easy to carry a spare in my wallet. That's saved me more than once from a temporarily lost key.

My local locksmith carries the blanks and cut me 2 spare keys for $3.00 ea.
Compared to $70 from the other link posted, yes it is. But like I said, a locksmith is the best route... professional, and less expensive.
