Default 08 Roadster

Hey guys I just picked up an 08 1200 Roadster on saturday 9/24. It was completly stock when I picked it up. I dont have before pics on this computer but I will load them when I get a chance. So far I have flipped the bars, removed the front blinkers, replaced the stock mufflers with straight pipes, removed the front pulley cover and made my own. The plans for the weekend are to remove the rear blinkers and rear belt guards, chop the rear fender, and mount a side mount plate bracket and brake light and maybe paint the rear shocks black. I can't decide if I want to keep the rear end high like it is for more of the cafe look or run rigid struts. What do you guys think? any ideas?

Future plans:
nightster style wheels
rsd clip ons
chop front fender
vrod fairing(if I decide to go with the cafe look)
powder coat triple trees and lower forks

1200 R kicks ***. Dual front brakes, tach, I love those bikes. Looks great the way it sits now.

Thanks guys I guess I'll be putting on the rigid struts when I get home I live in Stl MO I would love to trade but the roadster has dual discs in the front, does anyone know if it's possible to run Nightster wheels on my bike?

Nice, the stock Roadster is a great starting point for just about any look, your plans sound very similar to what I've been working towards.

Don't mess with it, get out and ride and enjoy it. Leave the rear suspension alone, there is a good reason it is as tall as it is!
