Question Vibrations above 60mph

Hey guys.
Just bought a 2010 Iron 883, and everything looks and seems to be running well, but when i hit around 60+ there seems to be an excessive amount of vibration. If i pull in the clutch and allow the RPMS to drop, it seems to go away... so to ME, that says it's not a wheel/tire issue. Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems maybe a vibration form the exhaust baffle? It's got Vance and Hines Slip-Ons... IDK, this is my first bike, first Harley, I'm used to dirtbikes, so when it comes to this stuff i'm starting form square one.
My question, is this normal, or should I be worried? I just dont want this thing to fall apart on me @ 60, or a tire to fall off. Thanks for any and all help.

i have a lot of engine vibration from my 1200C running at low rpms at 60 mph in 5th gear too, but it really smooths out nicely at 65 and up,

how does it run at 60mph in 4th?

I have a 2012 Iron and it vibrates the most at right around 60mph in 5th gear. Once I pass 60mph by a bit it smooths back out.

Yup....same with my girlfriends Nightster. I thought it was wheel balance too. Nope. So I accelerate and it goes away.

Check your front engine mount, some of them come loose and cause excessive vibration. It should be 70 ft/lbs if I recall.

If it is tight, then the vibes are normal,

go ride.

My bike (883 Iron) was kind of rough between 55-60 mph. After I got the 1000 mile check and service, It now runs smooth at that speed. It does get even smoother after 65 in 5th gear. Maybe It just needs to be broken in a little more. I notice everyday it rides better. Its funny, because I too thought something was out of balance with the front wheel. My wifes 883 super low did not seem to have that problem.

Check the dogbone and plate on the front cylinder to frame also, I forgot about that one.

It's a Harley, you'll get used to it!:] Haven't you noticed how the traffic lights dance when your waiting on them to change? I have heard the newer bikes are not as bad, not that they don't vibrate, just better insulated.
