They might be able to steal a bike with the HD alarm but it won't start or run unless you have a fob that is programmed for your bike.
Good for stopping joy riders, perhaps. Pros - steal your bike, install a new ignition system, ship it elsewhere for sale... you'll never ever know where it went. With the gps trackers you can find the bike until the battery in the hidden unit dies, or they find the unit and know what it is...
I'll respond to this but against my strong desire to say "you couldn't click on the link PROVIDED and take a few seconds to investigate it on your own?"
It said to contact them for a price. I didn't see a link to it or I would have. Thanks.
Thanks Aaron. No beep that I heard. Wonder why there is a light if there is no security system?
My RK doesn't have a security system but when I fire it up a red key comes on just for a second. I would guess if I did have a security system it would probably beep?
My Deuce has no alarm, but I do get the momentary red key when I turn the ignition on. Last year, while riding, my left rear signal stopped working. About 20 minutes later my left front signal quit. Then I noticed my little red key light was flashing. When I got home, I ran the codes and it came up with turn signmal error. Found a shorted wire in the signal housing and burned out bulb. Fix it, cleared the code, and red key light went out. It still comes on momentarily when starting the bike.
A buddy of mine installed a siren on his 01 Deuce and his chirps when he arms it.
Shiwngding:
I've been looking for the name of that company since last year. Thanks! I saw it in Myrtle Beach and by the time we got home I lost the guys business card. Cool system. He gave me a demo of it on his bike. Had his buddy ride it out of the parking lot as we were watching on his laptop. As soon as the bike got 100' away, his cell phone had message, he had an email, and the laptop showed on a map where his bike was. If we hadn't been short on time I would have had them install it then.
