Proud owner of new to me 05 XLH 1200 Custom. I already love the performance I'm getting but like everyone else here, I like to tinker with my toys.
What kind of engine performance improvement project have you done to your bike?
Pleased grade difficulty level on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = a toddler can do it and 10 = professional mechanic with special tools) and added performance (1 = waste of time and 10 = best performance increase).
Heres an idea though. Think outside the box. I assume if you're like me you'll be on twisty roads a lot, I mean hell you got a sporty thats where they love to be. Rather than only looking at engine mods look at balance mods. For instance, risers/bar set up have HUGE changes in handling. I run risers and drags, theres a reason the SoCal clubs run them. Additionally tank lifts change the balance, I found I got quicker handling going from one extreme turn to another quickly. There's also changing suspension preload, rebound, and height, I have no experience there....yet.
Just helpful tips that can be done much cheaper than engine mods and get amazing results
