What was that extra inlet for?
Was it connected to anything?
If it is a California spec, maybe an evap canister?
I think it would be illegal if you were to disable that system.
i have the exact carb on my bike (or simular) it was off a fatboy i believe... either way i was told to just block off the extra port.

the extra fitting that is capped off is a smog pipe so dont sweat that part
looks like the upper fitting is capped with a red cap and that goes to the voes or map sensor.
dont worry about the bottom vent as that is an overflow in case the float sticks.
I have a hose on mine connecting to that inlet valve. mine is a California bike. What does that hose connect to on the bike? Can i remove it to put a carb that does not have it on?
