Someone had posted a really good write up on this a while back. They made a mount out some fence post brackets or something like that. I tried finding it, but....nope,no luck. I'm sure someone here can get it for you..
I took a 1' X 1' 1/4" plate of raw steel from Lowe's
Made a template from a scrap piece of sheet.
Traced it out on the plate and cut it out with a cutting wheel.
Some bends and some finish sanding and smoothing out the edges and it's ready to bolt right into the old holes from the eyebrow.
And mounted.
Just get your bends right for aiming your light BEFORE you send it for powder or paint. I made a spacer (not in pic) that's ground on an angle so I could leave the area around the hole for the headlight unbent. The less you heat anything, the better. As far as the bends where I mounted it to the tree, I just made sure they were even and then each has to be just slightly turned as well to match the angle. Sorta tough to explain in words. You just gotta get in there and do it. You'll figure it out if you decide to make it.
Or of course you can find some pre-made mount on ebay or wherever.
