I wouldn't call it a "steal" but KBB has the trade-in (in my area of the country) as $3520 and full retail as $4850 so $4000 is a very good price. And it has low miles. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Not sure on the price but I have an '09. It's a fun bike. Never had a problem with it. Got about 6500 miles on it right now. There's a couple of pics of it on my profile/garage.

the orange with the black motor is the best. I think that you will love those dual front disk brakes. I have a 2006 1200R and I sure love mine. Wish mine were orange.
there is a guy locally that has been trying to sell the identical bike for $5,600 for months with no luck, so $4,000 is a very good price.

I like them better than the stock bars it came with. Feels good to stretch out. My hands are about shoulder level so I don't have a problem with circulation on long rides.
