Default Look for a 2011

If you've ridden one, so model is not a decision, then I'd look for new. I'm going through a lot of the same while shopping for a 48 (new vs. used, price, etc.) and I have decided to look for the best price on a remaining new 2011. I want the full factory warranty and not have to deal with any unknowns (scratches, unknown mods, whatever) that come with a pre-owned. There has to be a new 2011 somewhere in Western Canada.

Its got about 3000km on it, and it seems like a pretty fair price (He'll give it to me for the list price plus the tax).

Thing is...its about 10 hours out of town. I can fly there and check it out...or I could just buy it sight unseen. I know I should probably go and take a look in person at it....but honestly, I'm not sure exactly what it is I'd be looking for. Its my first sporty!

I sat on a bunch at the dealers and I know I like them from that perspective....but am I crazy for just wanting to buy the damn thing without schlepping all the way out there?

You may want to check with Mt.Baker Harley, in Bellingham, WA they seem to do a lot of business with Canadian buyers, and they are not that far from you.

Definatly if your financing $10k. I only had to Finance $4k after my trade.

but those of us with bad credit sometimes have more money becaue we arent paying it all to the banks on things like Home loans. Good Credit Ratings are just polished slave chains for the banks. Also I might as well put the bike on a credit card with the high interest rate I pay, but I plan on paying the bike off in a few months once I cash out some investments. But it was the only financing I could get.

Keep looking-the price does not seem that bad for up there, but 10 hours aways would not be worth it to me.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Since it's not quite winter...I think I'm going to just wait on it a couple months. Once everything gets covered in snow I'll start hunting up some deals.

I appreciate the help....and also all the bike **** from this place.
