Hey all, it's getting cold as **** so I've started on some of my winter projects for the Sportster. I have a new rear wheel on the way. I'll be putting a 200 on the rear. I'm also about to pick up a new wide glide front end from vulcanworks and throw a 150 in the front to give the bike that fat look. Here are a few of the things I've done so far and there will be more to come in the next few months.
My left tail light broke so I took the other one and mounted it to the top of the license plate.
I wanted to go with a taller bar. My dad bought a 2011 Heritage earlier in the year. Had 200 miles on the bike and he got hit by an suv while he was sitting at a stoplight. The dealership replaced his handlebars because they had a small scratch. I took his old bars and put them on my bike. The drag bars are still sitting right now, I still have to unplug the wiring and pull them out of the bars. I'll also be drilling out the new bars to run all my wiring back internal again on them.
Heres a pic of the wide glide im getting on another sportster
So this winter I have several things lined up. Running the wiring in to the new bars and getting all of that done. Putting that wide glide up front with a 16 and 150. Getting that 16 on in the rear with a 200 and getting the rear brake light wiring run back through the frame. I do like winter time.
150 front tire and 200 rear ? That is going to be an exercise in brutality !!! Heck yeah!!

I can't wait to get it done. I want the bike to look bulkier and a little meaner. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from mithigarcha1 on youtube. His nightster has a 200 rear and a 150 front on a chrome vulcanworks wide glide. His isnt hardtail like mine but it looks awesome. Here's a youtube link for one of his vids on it.
