sporty1200c, just a quick question, did you re-jet after the A/C and pipes? By looking at your test result, looks like you need more fuel at acceleration to WOT, it should be around 12.5:1, you may need a main jet. Just a quick thought! Alex
I've been wondering, how much does a dyno tune cost? I realize that's somewhat like asking how much is a car. But in general. Is it less than $100, or $500..more?
Big sucker 1 and Screaming Eagle slip-on before re-jet 69.1hp. After re-jetted, it hits 74.2hp, main jet replaced size 185.
I need to get my 1200C over to a shop and get a dyno run completed, as I would like to get some solid performance figures since installing the SE "E" cams, etc... Sounds like a good winter project.
The number you posted are very good, and compare right up there with a 88" BT that has had a good tune.
The figures for my FLSTFI show rear wheel figures of 79 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and 84 pounds of torque at 3,750 RPM, using a A/F ratio of 13.1. Already have a 1,550 Stage 2 upgrade scheduled, as I would like to get it up in the 90+ horsepower range.

It costs me $40cad to do one dyno test which is reasonable I guess. For a car it will cost $250cad a shot but different dyno though, much bigger.
OldFenderGuy, thanks for your comment, points taken. Alex

Vance & Hines Short Shots Staggered
SE A/C
Those are great numbers.
I've heard people complaining, stating that the V&H Short Shots aren't that good for performance, but your horsepower/torque figures blows away those negative comments.
