ok so i have samson pipes on there now...they ar like 2 1/4 inch...they are long and they suck....i ahte them...i think they sound like **** and i think they are giving me poor performance....they were striaght and i put baffles in helped a little bit but still **** i think...anyone have a good pipe sugggestion...i want soething that is SEMI loud not ovewehlmin and something that wil be great for performance...no 2 into 1 they are ugly...

Rather than duplicate a lot of posts, see https://www.hdforums.com/m_996675/tm.htm ......I installed V&H Straightshot Slipons on my converted 883 and I think they sound super. What impressed me most was the stout metal and chrome quality.

Since you already have the Sampson exhaust installed it wouldn't do much good to just purchase 'slip on' mufflers unless you have the stock system laying around.
One of the best looking full exhaust system is the V&H Short Shots, and the systems isn't that much more expensive than the cost of a good set of 'slip on' mufflers.
They look great on the Sportsters, and sound good as well.
From what I understand they really help in the horsepower/torque department as well.
Check out the thread about Dyno Numbers.
One of the Forum Members has the Short Shots installed, and his dyno power numbers are outstanding. I'd have to recheck the thread, but I believe he is pulling right at 79 horsepower.
Everyone's opinion will vary, but it's something to consider.

I don't know... the best looking pipes and in addition great sound... I sure do like the Hookers I have on my bike...
They boast that they improve hp and torque... I don't know about that... really... but they sound and look sweet IMHO!

Sound good, and there was a noticeable increase in power once installed.
