That is what I am thinking, it sat at the dealership for over a month while they were waiting on parts and trying to figure out what was wrong initially. My only thought on that is why doesn't it act up at higher speeds and why does it seem worse when it is cold. I am going to try to check out the carb tonight and hopefully I will find the issue.
Von_Zipper,
I am not sure where that came from but the fact that my bike is an 06' should let you know that it isn't EFI. 07' is when the sportster got EFI, so that is a non-issue and if a person offering advice didn't know that I might think twice before accepting. Thanks for your interest in helping though.
Amazing talent to twist circumstances. Have seen it with lawyers and females.
#1 You asked for help without mentioning the year of your bike.
#2 I replied asking it.
#3 You replied with information.
#6 I explained why it was necessary.
#8 You tell me my help is not acceptable.
Well, what's left to say? I can assure you I will never offer you any help again, hope that settles the issue you are having.

+1 for Von Zipper. This was a simple question that "thesomoan" took the wrong way, true Von Zipper could have worded it different. The key thing when asking questions on the internet is to give as much information as possible and when people ask for more don't go off on them. The internet is good for communication but it cannot show the intent of the person asking the question or answering the question. Sure we can capitalize and add emoticons but you cannot see the face or hear the tone of voice being used.
In case you didn't notice Von Zipper was a little late making his point about needing to know whether it had a carb or EFI. I had know idea what he was even referring to. I knew why he needed the year and other information as soon as he asked and I felt like an idiot for not putting that up there in the first place. Now about his bitchy response: This will not stand, ya know, this unchecked aggression will not stand, man.
Von Zipper,
It's not like I peed on your rug dude.
