I have a 2006 1200L. I was also leaving a driveway with a steep incline and there it went. The pin you mentioned is called a CLEVIS pin. I did the repair my self by drilling the stud out and taping the hole to thread a Grade 8 Bolt in. This is what the local HD shop told me they would charge at least $80 to do. It cost me $2.49. I was told about maybe welding a small skid plate a litte forward of the stud to keep the majority of the weight off the stud. I have only fixed it once so i am not going to put the skidplate on until it happens again. I dont know if any other stands would fix the problem. Good Luck but I would avoid that speed bump.

In my part of the country the speed bumps do not go all the way to the curb. This is to allow rain water to flow without interruption. I just go between the speed bump and the curb.

This happened on my 2007 when I only had 300 miles on it (spring came right off and the clevis pin was bent). I receievd some good tips on this board - when I brought it to the dealer - they replaced the spring for free and told me they were having alot of problems with the spring onf '07 sportsters. So far, so good since the repair.
