Confessions of a Craigslist Junkie

I would offer $7200 for it (which for my area is a good price for the buyer) and be willing to go up to $7500. I think most dealers charge 10% to sell bikes, so that would reduce his asking price by $825, for a net of $7425.
Good luck, and let us know if you buy it and price.
Here is the latest CL acquisition. A 2005 1200 Custom for $5300. It had less than 6K on the clock. You can see the pipes and the seat it came with. I put on my CL windshield that I mentioned earlier and the saddle bags I have had for a while (I had them on my 883 also). You can buy the saddle bag support rails for about $34 off of Amazon and not pay the $100 HD wants.
The saddle bags came with my Wide Glide when I traded my Road King to a buddy 2 years ago (+ $2500 cash for me). My FXDWG is a sweet ride also.
I opened up the carb on the Sporty a few days ago to see what it had. 45 pilot - 180 main - 2.5 turns out an the mixture screw. I dialed the screw back in to 1.5 turns and I replaced the stock Phillips head screws in the float bowl with allen head screws. I'm going to get a 175 main and pop it in shortly. I think a 180 is a bit big...
I have lubed the throttle cables, clutch cable, adjusted the primary chain, changed the oil in all holes, cleaned the carb, put on my K&N air filter that I got for $34 or so bucks off of Amazon (that I had on my 883 also), and did a clutch adjustment. The bike looks like new and runs perfect.
If you can turn a wrench, know a good deal when you see it, Take a bike that needs some TLC and make it right, you can have a sweet ride and save some $$$ for more important things like beer and chicks!
YMMV

My 2007 DRZ 400 SM - Awesome bike for what it is. 67 MPG all day long, and the brakes are just short of a stick in the front wheel spokes.

The Wide Glide I traded my Road King for which I still have. 21,000 miles and it runs excellent. It came with Ground Pounder Sampson exhaust. It's hard to believe, but they were too loud for me.... But I still have them on a shelf. And the exhaust that are on it now, came with the deal. I think they are Cycle Shacks. I also got 3" extension forward controls which I took off, but have in a box.

The other side. I have a quick detach windshield, but I do not use it much. I think the bike looks better with out it.

My Road King - I called her Oprah. I did 25,000 miles worth of rallies on this scooter. Awesome bike.

My First Harley - Sold it to my brother. The only bike I have lost money on. It was worth every penny! It was his 1st Harley also. We did some rallies and I had a blast. Rock on Bro!

My son riding my 1st FXDWG when he was 14 years old. Trust... It starts at an early age...

The Buell Blast I bought for my son (off of CL for a song), we replaced the head gaskets and rocker cover gaskets, Jetted it, did some exhaust work and it runs like a champ. It had less than 300 miles on it when we bought it. has over 9K miles now. One of the most underrated bikes I know of. That bike gets 70 MPG - always starts, and once you get out of the lower RPM's, it is sweet!
