Default Kickstand help

Anyone have any experianced this? The mounting tab that holds the kickstand spring on the frame of my wifes Sportster broke off. It's a welded tab on the lower frame. Any suggestions on how to fix it other than welding? Fustrated!!!

I think someone else drilled a hole in the frame, tapped the hole with threads, and put a small bolt/screw in the hole with some Loc-tite.

Or buy an internally sprung kickstand if you don't want to weld on your frame. You'll probably have to fab an adapter to make it a direct swap.

What's your reservation with welding it fixed? Welding a piece back on is by far the easiest, cheapest & fastest fix.
