2010 Harley 883 - $6500

Hi, bought this in Cali, drove around the entire country, bought a serious touring bike and never use this. It sits and collects dirt, needs a better home. I did lose the title, but i have the reciept of purchase and registration, thats why its so cheap. You get it titled after a lost title app. I dont want the headache. Buy it for parts if you want. Bike has around 18k and comes with an alarm, saddle bags and two other touring bags. Battery is dead, but bike can be jumped, charged and should be good to go wherever you want. Tires are good for another season at least. practically a new bike.

Perfect for a begginer or small person. better than a buel, kawaski, suzuki cruiser, or honda.

Sounds legit, but for little more/less you can find used 883 Iron w/clear title. Doesn't say how many miles so I whonder what "drove around the entire country" means & seems careless to lose vehicle title so I'd question how bike was maintained (good/bad). I'd say pass & look elsewhere...JMO.

a salvage bike with a branded title that can still be fixed/retitled is only $800-$3500. with out a title, it is nothing but parts.. the bike looks pretty beat anyway, a rattle can special at best. it looks a lot like all the stolen recovery bikes that i used to deal with at the bike shop..
the owner says he doesn't want to go through the hassle of getting a title so just do a title search for it.. all a all title search does is tell you who the registered owner of the bike is,then you have to write the owner and ask/pay them to go get a duplicate title and sign it over to you. the R. owner can even say they want the bike back at that point. a written receipt is only legal if it is notarized and on a company letterhead. even then the R. owner can take the bike back because they hold the title, a recipt keeps you out of jail but your stuck trying to get your money back...
all the seller has to do to get a title(if he really owns it), is call the last state it was titled in, and pay $10 for a new copy..

If you have to ask yourself, "Is this legit?" ....think about it.

Get the VIN number off the frame & engine, do some research BEFORE you buy. Call the DMV and check. You need to know if the title is free and clear and if it is in the owners name. Also want to make sure some finance company isn't on the title. You MUST check these things otherwise you'll get bit.

If the he is the owner on the title replacing the title is a piece of cake ...him not wanting to bother getting a replacement title is a big red flag in my opinion.
