even on the rare year bikes, 97% of the parts are the same as everything else.. for the other 3% of parts, the thing with harleys is they never changed much.. you can easily find another part that will work.. like if the fender strut is different, the frame and fender was the same from 57-around 77, and then 77 up till rubber mount. another year will fit even thou it isn't factory correct
