Default Done with the mods

Well almost I had to order a turn signal connector since I messed mine up but here's the almost finished product.

Sadly with the tank lift I couldn't mount my C&C seat, so if anyone is interested let me know. Any of you guys with the mustang vintage seats have this problem? I'm thinking about picking one of those up.

Also thanks to everyone on this forum for helping me out. Especially Kevin from DK Customs and 128auto. They both more then supported their product even well after they had my money, answering questions barely related to their products.

question: do you have any issues with the old lady's ankles hittin the belt, since you removed the belt guard? I want to remove mine, but afraid that her dumass will get injured if i removed the belt guards.

You can purchase extenders for the foot pegs if you extend them out 2" then she won't be near belt.

I have sadlebags that rest up on my belt guard so I'll never remove it, but I did instal the extenders and now her feet don't rest on my saddle bags.

back to the OP,
it's looking good. I have been moding my bike for 3 years, my final mod is the ignition relocater. I have it but just havent had the time to do it. Then on to buying a new bike and modding all over again

Can't see how the tank lift would interfere, but I don't have one so...

Also, consider spending money on chopping those shocks before more mods.

Lastly, I completely exposed my belt and with factory mounts, she's not near touching the belt. Then again she has to be aware of what's going on at all times so she doesn't get herself tangled up in the front sprocket. ...which again isn't anywhere near her feet / legs / ankles. Just have to point it out and hope she has a brain. lol

Your bike looks good bud. If I may ask tho, why are the rear directionals black, and the front are chrome?

It's a work in progress. I'm going to chrome ones in the back too most likely. In all actuality those were the cheapest signals I could find that resembled stock ones. My black turn signals got scraped in a wreck. Not to mention I stripped the threads off them.

As far as the tank lift the C&C seat pushed up hard against the tank already and lifting it just made it push too much against it and the back wouldn't screw in. I could probably modify the seat but I really just want a really cushy one. Not that it matters, I went for a ride today. Them handlebars hurt. Think I'll look into some pullback risers. I like the feel of them but I'm just leaned too far forward. Anyone have any experience with pullback risers and a 2" tank lift. I'm just wondering if there's any clearance issues.

As far as the footpegs/belt guard go. I hear it's not an issue. But I never had anyone ride with me it's more or less a just in case. I'd have a solo seat on it but like I said my C&C seat wouldn't work with the lift and this is the only other one I have. Also the guy at tamarack to me the lowering blocks were good for 300lbs, maybe more depending on the shock pressure. I know I weight 190-200lbs so a passenger would be pushing it. I also think I need a bit more die-electric grease on the plugs or something. Or maybe the coil. When you go to start it kind of just sits for a second after hitting the button the fires right up. After that it runs great. My battery is brand new and has been used for like 30 seconds. It's been sitting on a tender for weeks since i got it.

Thanks, I was just wondering. Don't think I was raggin' your ride as that was not my intention.

Hey! The bike is looking good!

Might try some riser extensions and pull back your handlebars a bit...that will give you some height AND get them closer to you.

Finding the perfect handlebar position for You-

This is the way that has always worked for me to get the most comfortable handlebar position-

Sit on your bike
Have someone hold it up straight for you
Put your feet on the pegs
Close your eyes
Put your hands out to where it is most comfortable to hold them

Open your eyes...where ever your hands are, that is where you want the handlebar grips to be.

What did you use to mount your front blinkers to the triple clamp?
