I think Ironheads right.I would'nt get too caught up in adjusting or taking anything apart just yet.Get some miles on it and you'll probably see that the bike is just finding it's groove. The first five hundred is your break in period so "git to breakin"!Might not be a bad idea to change your oil and put a new set of plugs in it at five hundred and just ride the hell out of it.If you still have the problem at the 1,000 mile mark, have them adjust it then when you bring it in to have the "stealer" do the 1,000 mile service.I know I said to change the plugs and the oil at the five hundred mark and it probably seems to some like a waste but the better you break it in now and take care of it,the longer it will last.Had similar situation with mine when I first picked up but just kind of let it slide, broke it in the way it should, and now nine thousand miles later, running great.

You read my mind Already have the oil filter and oil sitting in my garage. Hadnt considered plugs but maybe those too. When she hits 1000 miles I will be changing to Full synthetic on all cavities once the steeler does the 1000 mile check. I'm thinking Amsoil, Any suggestions...
Amsoil is good oil, no doubt about it. But being a frugal kinda guy (read "cheap") I use Mobil 1 15w-50. Get it from Wal Mart for less than $20 for a 5 quart jug. Oil filters are NAPA, and are made by Wix. FYI, the HD filters are made in China, last I heard. I don't run the motor oil in my transmission as I know several mechs who are seeing trashed trannies after the owner switched to the stuff. Stick with regular gear oil in the tranny. Amsoil probably makes a synthetic, and I use a synthetic Castrol product.
Mobile one is pretty good, Used the 10w40 4 stroke synthetic in my Suzuki Dr250 with no issues. Im a little concerned about my choice of filters though. See the New post. Thanks...
