hi and low idle

I have a s&s e carb on my 84 ironhead I just noticed that the idle stays up a little then goes down when I come to a stop only when she is hot . It seems that the throttle cable is tight but I lossen ed them both up and she still does it. Now the bike doesn't race up like she is going to blow she just seems that she idles a little high checked the throttle screw and she is coming back to the idle screw any help Thanks

adjust idle screw with the bike hot, check for intake leak.

Are you supporting the carb off the engine ?

The plugs look good for the intake leak but didnot check for keaks what is the best possible for this. and the carb is not supported off the engine. Thanks

You have to get the support on there. It vibrates way to much without it, loosening the intake seal. While idling, spray carb cleaner around the intake rubbers to check for leaks. If the idle changes when you spray, you got a leak. Also, pull up the enrichener while idling. If it dies, that's a good indication of a leak.
