Default Small Front brake issue

I recently bought my sporty and i rarely use front brakes but when i do in conjunction with the rear the front pulses pretty bad , i was thinking it had warped rotor but tonight i noticed the upper gasket at the master cylinder is leaking which leads to these 2 questions
(Please excuse the dumb assed questions)
Do i order the Standard gasket for the front master cylinder because it looks stock just chrome ?
and is it possible there is air in the front lines to make it pulse like it does ?

The Sporty is a 1996 XLH1200C
Thank you much

I think the bigger problem here is that you barely use the front brake. Its 70% of your stopping power...Ok sorry, stepping down from my soapbox.

The gasket should be the same whether the MC is chrome or black, assuming it's the HD MC.
Never seen air in the brake lines cause pulsing.
Rotor warping is pretty common and the #1 cause of pulsing.

You didn't bother to tell us what year your bike is or how many miles are on it, but I'd lay odds on the rotor being warped. HD makes a decent floating rotor that's not real expensive. I replaced my warped stock front rotor with the HD floating rotor at around 20,000 miles and installed Lyndall Z-Plus pads. Haven't had anymore problems in the 60,000 miles since.

Its a 96' with 25,000 miles on it
and i was thinking it was a warped rotor but just wasn't quite sure

As above replace your gasket.
Yes rotor could be warpped.

Also sounds like your brakes haven't been looked at for some time.

So...
1 - Bleed the brakes
2 - Use 80 grit sand paper and rough up both sides of your rotor and then clean using a spray can of brake cleaner. (Could be oil residue on the rotor or some hot spots or glazing.
3 - Lastly, remove and inspect pads

Worst case if above doesn;t fix your pulse, then you'll need a new rotor and pads.
