ah yes that does seem like a gap that would annoy the hell outta me.
as im still waiting for the visor kit to arrive, i cant really help, but id like to know if others had this problem and if so, how they fixed it.
or is this normal?
I had the gap on mine when I installed it following the instructions that said the spacers are "For Dyna Only"
The gap was bugging the hell out of me so, I took it apart and added the spacers.
Still had a small gap but got rid of it by adjusting the headlamp up a little bit and now everything is nice & tight with no gaps.

Thanks Bolillo.. Just one more question, I'm not very mechanically inclined, How did you adjust the headlight? do I have to take it all apart again? or is this something I can do with the visor on?
Adjusted mine by the bolt/screw on top of the light (has that rubber donut thing on it) just aimed the light a bit higher and that took care of the gap.

i also had the same problem with the installation. thanks for the thread post and thanks for the help. really appreciated it. i'm new to the forum, just got my 2012 883 and been working on it myself bc the damn dealership cost too much! joining this forum was the second best thing i did after purchasing my bike. love everyone's generosity and help. many thanks!
I had the same issue on my '12 Iron. Adjusting the headlight worked fine (still need the Dyna spacers), which I had to do anyway because it was pointing straight at the ground. Probably a good idea to swap out the stock bulb before the install if you're going to anyway since you'd have to take it all apart to do that once the visor is on.
It could work, just make sure it's able to withstand heat. The glass on the stock headlamp assembly gets very warm, although probably not hot enough to really damage anything.
