Default Muffler Question
I have a 2007 883 custom and it currently has screaming eagle pipes on it. However, my brother left it outside a few too many times and now they have alot of surface rust on them. I would like to get a new set of slip-on mufflers to replace them. I still have the stock pipes that only have a few miles on them, but they just do not make the sound I want on my harley. I love the sound of the screaming eagle pipes, but those are going to run me about $300 and I would like to get black pipes. Does anyone know where I can get a decent set of replacement pipes that have that sound similar to the screaming eagle pipes. I do not want anything quieter, louder is better in my opinion.

If you want black pipes why not just paint the screaming eagles?

Forgive me I am new to this, but how well would the paint job hold up from all the heat?

I like the drag pipes, but they are not for street use...

Finish scuffing up the chrome with a scotchbrite pad and then paint them with High Temp BBQ or header paint.

mothers mag wheel polish will do miracles to rust as long as its not pitted.
