course is done, got my license back.
instructors were great.
NRHS - bike looks great.
im going to start off with that stock seat mod, i also noticed after 8hrs of riding 2 days in a row, my tail bone is KILLING. so im going to cut it out a little different to leave no added foam in the centre rear.
in one of my previous posts i said i had the mustang seat on the way as well.. my mistake, i was half asleep.... i have the sundowner 2-up seat...i want the mustang or another nice looking 2up. its only $100 more for the seat, pegs and the harley shop manual... i think its a good deal. if i find a mustang 2up i may sell the sundowner.
I'm going to leave some chrome, the engine and tranny are polished so that won't change.
I have the shop book coming tonight, but its being dropped off @ my friends which is where the bike is so I can't really flip through it.
Any one know what type(weight/viscosity) and amount of oil I will need? I know harley sells their own brand of oil but I always run royal purple so I may stick with that, or get AMS Oil. Any other brands harleys seems to like/dislike?
found that headlight over at the dealership and actually ran into a guy with one on his iron in the parking lot on my way out. he said he loves it and it lights up the road.
im going to order it in 4 weeks. (my license has a limit on it for the next 6 weeks i cant drive at night anyway.)
Just got my Harley home!!! (finally) plates and insurance on. my friend road her down for me since it was a 1hr haul down a highway that im lisenced to be on....damn m1 waiting period.
time to tinker with it. i have the shop manual here so ill be doing the oil tomorrow with harley screaming eagle syn oil and im going to get the signal relocation kit so i can flip my mirrors.
