You'll need new bearings for the 3/4" front and 1" rear on your '06.
Couldn't tell you about the spacers, other than cross-referencing the part #'s in the respective Parts Manuals. They may be the same.
Sportsters:
08-up both axles metric (25mm) and 6205 bearings.
i'd imagine going form a 21" rim to a 19" rim, the spacers would be different? that's the part im not really sure on. i guess are the 19" hubs a different width than the 21" hubs?
Apparently no different. In the 2005 Parts Manual, the part #'s for the spacers are the same for a 19" cast wheel as they are for the 21" wire wheel illustrated above.
so i put the 3/4" bearings into my 09 nightster wheel, and one side sits a little under the lip of the hub, and on the opposite side, the bearing is raised above the lip. also, the bearing spacer, inside the hub, is rattling around...
both bearings are seated....what's the deal?
i ordered bearings for an 06 XLC and the inner bearing spacer for an XLC
I know you say they're seated, but it sounds like one isn't. Did you press them in? Do the parts' numbers match the assembly diagram above? An '06 should be the same as an '05. What about an '09 Parts Manual? Did you check the wheel spacers and hub spacer numbers for the Nightster? I've put bearings in before, but not for Nightster wheels.
