Default Finally ordered from DK

Well I ordered my coil and key relocate today and can't wait to get them on my bike!!! Anyone have instructions for these so I can ready myself? I'm thinking about tucking some of the wires while I'm at it.....

Also, I'm pretty sure DK sends you everything you need in terms of instructions.

Did you also get the red plug wires?

You're gonna want a tank lift if you didn't order it. I neglected to order the tank lift for mine. I ended up ordering the separate key relocation kit. I've ordered twice from them. Nothing but good things to say. If I need anything they sell, I'll for sure be ordering from them again. Great products and fast shipping.

Do you lose any fuel space in the tank? If so how much? Or its it one of those things ya don't really notice...

i have a 3.5 tank lift on my 48 and am getting around 50-55mpg between fillups, thats mostly highway riding. not sure what i was getting before the tank lift, never paid attention. tank lift and coil/ignition relocation was easy, wire tuck can be irritating depending on how **** you are about it but its worth it

I did this recently as well and I got the 2" lift for my Nightster (3.3 gallon tank.) The instructions are included from DK and as for the fuel loss, I did notice a 20 mile difference from when my fuel light illuminates. But I always fill up when that happens and don't depend on the reserve much. So I'm getting around 100 miles with 2 gallons before I fill up.

I really do enjoy the customer service and quality DK provides and with Kevin being on this site and in the forums all the time he's very approachable.

Oh and let me add that if you do get the tank lift, spend some time with the wire tuck and get rid of all that plastic **** between the tank and the motor. It really opens up the frame and doesn't appear so confined.

Hey Big Redneck!

Thanks for your business!

Have not been on the forum for a couple of days...just saw this.

If you PM me your email address I will email you the instructions so you have them ahead of time to go over.

As far as losing range with a tank lift, here is a link that covers the subject pretty well.

Feel free to call or email with any questions.
