We waltzed into our local dealer a month or so ago and ran smack into a metallic red 72. My wife rode it home (traded in her 09 1200C right on the spot). V&H Short Shots, SE aircleaner, SERT, detachable windshield. Have a seat coming from Sick Saddles any day now. The 72 is not just a fabulous looking bike, it's a great ride. Although I have to admit the reason Harley put such a small tank on it is because that's all the time your butt can spend on the stock seat!
I got mine in black denim a couple weeks ago...no mods yet, unless you count the melted boot heel on the front pipe
Yep that seems to be the first mod that anyone or their passenger does. My winch melted her boot to mine the first time I rode her on it. Now she has to ride without shoes. JK
wonder if they can put a 4.5 gallon tank on it? I would do that if they could and change the seat first. i love that bike would like to make my 03xlc look like that. its on its way
yeah, I plan on doing a few things to it, including changing out the seat, but when I saw this bike, it was pretty damn perfect from the get-go and I really wouldn't change anything too drastically
a friend offered to make up a custom sissy bar for me, but I'm kinda leaning toward the HD one since it's so easily removable without tools and I'm not so sure that I want one for looks as much as just to strap a small bag to if I go out of town. I don't have too much intention of having anyone ride on the back so it won't really be for that
I am quite positive that it needs the Biltwell bottle opener ignition cover on it soon though and their Kung-Fu grips as well
