my friends 03 883/1200 is having some stalling issues.
i dont know much about carbs so its tough to help which is why im looking to the forum for assistance.
he fired it up, went for a ride and it stalled out (judging on where he told me it stalled, i would say he got 5 min down the road, which is downhill)
he had trouble getting it started so ended up pushing it most the way home.(which probably is about a 45min walk)
he did manage to get it to fire up but every time he starts to ride it will stall out.
he says it seems to idle fine.
last year he had a similar issue, which turned out to be a plug wire had fallen off so he was running on 1cyl. im going to have him do a spark test just to be sure, but the wires now have zipties around the boot for a little extra grip, so they didnt fall off again.
any pointers as to what he should start looking at?
any and all help appreciated.
How about you ride it so you can describe what actually happens? These second-hand problems are a real problem to solve! It's a bit murky, peering across the Atlantic.....
