I ordered the X14iEDs, along with a set of cheap Full Boar slip-ons, and a nice s&s Cycles teardrop cleaner. The exhaust and cleaner haven't arrived yet, and I am wishing that I would have held off awhile now.
The XiEDs made such a big difference in both the performance, AND the sound of my 2012 SuperLow. I think that for an 883 owner on a budget, the XiEDs would be a decent upgrade, without the rest of the "Stage 1" gear. All I know is that my otherwise stock bike is like twice as fun to ride now.
I am curious to see how much better it will be with the change in exhaust and intake.
If you are enjoying your ride twice as much with the x14ied, stop there and enjoy. Once you put on the other gear, you will be looking for a tune. At least this is my experience so far.
