Default Reducing Stock Brake Line?

I am putting some Biltwell Zed bars on my 2005 883. The bars are the same height as the stock bars, so my clutch and throttle lines are fine, but the new bars bring everything a little closer to the center so my brake line is now too long.

Am I able to just cut off 2 inches from the stock brake line and reassemble the banjo bolt and fittings, or do I need an entirely new line?

There is a black heat-shrink seal around the line and banjo bolt. Is this the same stuff as heat shrink for electrical wires?

I thought I's get an opinion from you guys first before I asked my local dealer for advice - I am pretty sure I know what they are going to say....

Thanks,

R

For 2 inches why are you even wasting your time?

I know it doesn't sound like much, but with the 90 degree banjo bolt and the guard/stopper on the control next to the banjo bolt, it won't work with the new bars.

I need 2 inches less and a straight/30 degree max banjo bolt.
