I didn't have to cut my wires whenI did both the bars and relocted the trunsto the Forks. There are several Soldering Irons or Guns available. I got one at an electrical supply store, it is nothing more than a butane powered soldering Iron, not much bigger than a Bic cig lighter. If you sodler or crimp, remember to put the heat shrink tube on before connecting the wires back together.
