No shame here Salt! Your man enough to admit wrenching is not your strongest suite and you don't have all the stuff to do the job correct. Got my respect. As a professional wrench, I've seen way to many sad stories all because the owners didn't or couldn't do what you just did. Bravo!

I didn't have to cut my wires whenI did both the bars and relocted the trunsto the Forks. There are several Soldering Irons or Guns available. I got one at an electrical supply store, it is nothing more than a butane powered soldering Iron, not much bigger than a Bic cig lighter. If you sodler or crimp, remember to put the heat shrink tube on before connecting the wires back together.
