I have a 1980 FXS. Someone in past removed the turn signals. Does anyone know of a source that has as close to stock as possible signals. I've been searching drag specialities and J&P but dont want to order something that will not mount right. do i need dual or single filament or does it matter?
I'll see what I can do for you.I've got a lot still to do today,so it may be late tonight or tomorrow morning before I can round everything up,I'll be surprised if I don't have most of, if not everything you need...thanks,Junker.
Does anyone know the legality of turn signals. Right now my 1980 FXE does not have any turn signals at all. My FIL told me that older bikes may not be required to have them. I do not know if this is true or if it's based on the state you live in (Michigan). Does anyone know this answer. TIA

Don't know about your state but it's 73 and up here , mine being a 72 makes for an entertaining back and forth when they throw on the blue lights for an equipment infraction that isn't applicable .

Sorry I'm just getting back to you.My wifes 19 year old son was killed last week in a car accident...but I put this turn signal "kit" together earlier today. It's the best I could do.All you should need is 1 bulb and mounting hardware.2 of the lights will need wire added to them but I have included two lengths of correct color coded wire...hope they will work for you...thanks,Junker.
