Y'all got jokes don't you?! I was simply hoping that someone who has put a rear tire on without mods could tell me.. But apparently I'm not in the adults section of this forum...
Ok,all I needed to know was the width so the belt doesn't need to be shimmed. It is a real simple question, just needed a simple answer....
Jojo, you've got 5 posts up and have asked a question you are in the best position to answer. The limitations on tyre width are: rim width - you can't go fitting an ever wider tyre on a narrow rim; tyre to belt clearance - too wide a tyre will hit the belt or part of the frame, the frame you built!
There's not a lot more we can do, we ain't miracle workers!
It's a 88 and it's hard tailed and lowered. Just need the width, the manufacturer of the hard tail is me... I'm a welder/fabricator.

I'd try and figure out what's not making sense here, but I'm too busy talking about my action figures and finger paints over in the children's forum.
"Hi I'm running such and such year drive train on a custom ridged frame. It has a size XXX rear tire with about x/x inches between the belt and the tire. Whats the biggest tire do you think will go on it"?
Thanks xFreebrdx! I'll get out in the garage and do just that. This is my first bike and just seem to get lost in it all sometimes. I'll get back to you later today.
