yeah but that speedo sticking up like that is part of the cafe look imo.
I agree to an extent. that example you gave definitely supports the idea. but mounted on my bars, it sits way to high, maybe 2-3 inchs higher then the one in the pic you posted. If it sat up like that, but at a lower mounting point, it wouldn't look so bad.

make a new mount plate for it or something, get creative. i know there's mounts out there on the net too, google! i think the cafe look needs to have those guages in plain sight like that, just looks so good on that style of bike. now if it were an old chop or bob or even a new modder sporty it would look like ****. good luck.

Bmxatv: your set up looks fine, the stock 883 speedo sits up like a pedo at a youth pagent. I think its the black casing as much as anything...
that aint my bike....but i will have a cafe sporty someday and it may look something close.

Yea I am going come up with a new mount for my light to the triple tree and get a 48 housing. I like to be able to view my speedo, I actually use it haha and the $116 price of the 48 is a lot more friendly then the $300ish of the RSD with dummy lights.
^^^dude that's freakin cool. first person i saw use the tach clamp in that spot. genious and it looks way tough with those clip ons. certainly, ungay......
