Default How much oil do you add between changes

I am wondering how much oil you guys add to your reservoirs between oil changes to keep it at a consistent level on the dipstick between changes.
I find the level on my dipstick is a little bit lower every few hundred km and I need to add some to keep it 1/4 inch above the low mark every 1000 km or so.

I haven't ever had to add any. Harley states that 1 quart every 1000 miles is acceptable consumption if you can believe that. If I lost a quart every 1000 miles I would tear it apart to find the hole.
So if your under that Harley says it's fine.
When you think about it though these bikes get insanely hot. I would assume the motor would just vaporize oil or turn it into mud. But they seem to do alright.

I've never had to add oil, even after long, fast rides on HOT days.

I've never had to add more than a whole quart between changes. If I ever had to, then I would be concerned.

I put in two and a half quarts when I do an oil change. The other half I add a little bit of intermittently when ever the mood strikes me right.
