My wife traded her 2010 Streetglide this year for a 2012 Custom 1200 Sportster and couldn't be happier with the trade. The Sporty is so much fun to ride I'm getting one as a second bike at the end of the year.
She added a Mustang Seat and Ohlins shocks and says she is more comfortable than she ever was on the Streetglide.
The storage aspect on a Nightster does have it's down side. But I love the quickness, response and always turning heads where ever I ride. Congrats on the new bike.
