Default Dyno tune please comment

So I got my Harley sporster '12 dyno tuned today. Prior to that I installed a stage 1 screamin' eagle air cleaner and a Vance and Hines 2 into 1 exhaust. I had them print me out a graph of the tune ad it reads that my Max power is at 74.16 and Max torque is at 75.29.

I read up on dyno tunes and how long I should expect a good tune. The place I went to did it in two hours, however I read in these forums that a good tune would take on average at least 3. I just want to make sure that the dyno place didn't charge me on some bs canned map.

The bike seems to run pretty good, no popping and nothing out of the ordinary going wrong. I have the graph if anyone wants to check it out, but please let me know if I should take it back and raise some hell.

On that note, I can't find any info on the stock hp of my bike..woul any one know?

I don't know a ton about tuning but if your VE tables were already close when the tuner started work on your bike, it takes him a lot less time to get it dialed in.

Stock is about 66/72 HP/TQ for the 1200.

That's one thing I read about stage 1 dyno tuning a well... That the dyno tuning wouldn't really change much. But I guess $180 of dyno for my bike is better than paying just for a preset canned map.

Thanks for the info on the hp and torque! Where did you get that info from? Just curious, and if you got it from the manual I'll slap myself right now

If you get a copy of your tune I can compare it to all of the stock tunes for you. However what they probably did was take a tune from another similar bike they had on their dyno and use it as a starting point. From there it doesn't take that much time to refine a tune that is already close.

Don't read so much! That 3 hours has probably been repeated so many times it has absolutely no value. It sounds like you got great results and your tuning shop was competent and didn't over-charge you! You did well.

Sorry but you misunderstood, I meant a copy of the tune as in the config that was downloaded. They probably didn't give you one
