Default Question... Could be technical!!!

Hey guys, I'm building a bobber out of my 1999 sportster. It has the rear brake light Mounted on the fender, id like to chop the rear fender shorter but I'm hung up on what to do with the brake light/ housing because the turn signals plug into the brake light housing.

My goal is a side mount plate with a brake light attached (like the road 6 ones) any idea if this is possible with my 1999? I wish my turn signals acted as brake lights too, like the newer sporties. Any help would be great.

Thanks

My custom dynamics work that way. As brake lights as well as turn signals

I have the same bike. Unplugg all the wires and turn signals and cut your fender right above the area where the brake light was originally mounted. It's easy to do, just make sure it's exactly what you want before cutting.

Devildogg what did you plug the directionals into after you cut the fender?

Thanks.

you COULD buy the brake/turn/run module ($60 HD) and instead of running the brake light wire (red/yellow) into the module, cut it out and run that to your Model A light. That would allow your stock turn signals / single filament bulbs to function as both turn signal and running light. Just a thought....not sure how much the new signals / dual filament set-up will cost you.
