Wow..Im kind of bummed! I didnt see this type of seat on the menu at sick, otherwise this is what idve bought! Instead went with a lapera bare bones leather diamond stitch..I wanted to get the stiching in red as well, but was concerned it might be too much..I was wrong, that looks great!

VKnight and Traces72. Be sure to post pictures of both of your seats on the bike and give a report on comfort. I have narrowed down my choice to the Lepera and the Sick Saddles so it will help me make my choice.

I tried the HD spring seat and while better than the stock, it is still not very good.

The red-metal flake is a beautiful paint job, but I don't like red on anything so I got the blue pearl and love it. Out in the sun you get just a hint of metallic. If they offered the blue in a metal flake though (or even a silver) that would be bad as can be. I am just now getting to ride mine, but so far as everyone else has said, if you plan your trips out to stop for fuel you shouldn't have any real issues. For my frame (5'9" 155 lbs) this bike fits perfect. Love the bobber style and the perfect amount of chrome, not too much, just enough for my liking. Still thinking about customizing but so far not much on my list. Good luck everyone!

I rarely go for long interstate rides, maybe once or twice a year. I guess I'm just looking for opinions here, any owners with the 2.1 tank, whats your max fuel range typically? My experience with Harley has been with an 883l which was upgraded to a 1200 and a super glide custom. I loved my sportster but got the idea I needed a big twin, turns out I like the ergonomics and feel of the sportster over the big twins. Feels more like a bike to me. I feel like I made up my mind already but any input would be appreciated, they also have a nightster with forward controls, mini apes and few other touches there I've been eyeing up as well, but its denim black and I'm not getting the same feeling from it as I am with the 72.
You can get 70ish miles out of the 2.2. I would get the 72 no questions asked! i love the looks, the ride and the feel of that bike, after all who doesn't love sportsters! Enjoy!
