Having the 70-80 mph wobble on 2012 Seventy Two for the second time. 5000mi on the bike, keep it cherry, and full maintain..... My 1st wobble was from the rear wheel unlacing(known issue) and was replaced. That was solved. After some time I noticed a slight wobble at times but wasnt sure if it was the load on my sissy bar stacked too high, me sitting too far back on the seat, tire pressure, decel wobbs, mirrors are staggered (one up, one down) the stock mini pushed faaar forward etc...... After lots of troubleshoot rides I installed 16' apes and obviously pronounced the wobble. Ive ditched the sissy bar, tried sitting "properly or standard", and still crazy wobbles.
specs:bike- all stock except tank lift, coil, and apes pipes. nothing major suspension or frame/wheels. the bike seems to have a stronger "decel wobble" at 75-80"
me/riding position-6'3, 180, sit far back, apes forward, arms n legs almost full stretch,
-the only on the spot fix seems to be pushing on the bars lightly forward with equal pressure. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers
I had an issue where the air gauge I was using on both of my bikes was way off. I couldn't understand why the front tire wear was so poor on my daughters Bandit and we both had woble issues. Everything pointed to improper inflation but my gauge said it was correct. Checked the tire pressure at the local Discount Tire with a good gauge and we were over 20% under inflated. Make sure the gauge you are using is accurate. It made a huge difference for us.
