allows a clean wire tuck.. makes a huge difference visually. Everyone says the benefit is purely cosmetic, but it's got to allow more air to flow over the engine, so i'd say it helps run a little cooler.. but I've no data to back that up.

Was able to remove the coil bracket/seat post set-up on my Fatboy and open up the space behind the engine. I believe it had to help with the cooling and sure looks better.

Technically the shorter the plug wires the better...but I doubt it makes any measurable difference.

Besides looking much better (to me) The biggie for me is I like not having to stretch forward and switch the ignition off by feel...much nicer having it where it is visible and easy to access.

Two questions:
1. I heard that placing the ignition in between the engine will cause the ignition to heat and eventually fail. Anyone had this issue?
2. My handlebar wires seem pretty tight as is. If I turn the tire all the way right I have almost no slack. Will this be an issue with this mod

when you do the wire tuck you can give as much slack as you need there is plenty of wire underneath that plastic ****.

We have Customers that have been running their ignition between the cylinders for over 6 years, no reported problems.

On my current sporty, with over 25K miles, the ignition has been between the cylinders and behind the rear cylinder since it was new, no problem.

The stock placement on Rockers and Blacklines from HD is with the ignition between the cylinders.

As tripn88 said, there is lots of extra wire when you do a wire tuck.

My ignition has been behind the rear cylinder for 5 years. No problems.

A wire tuck with coil and ignition relocation is a cheap, easy mod, that you do yourself. The personnel satisfaction of something you did with your own hands...thats the benefit.

Plus it looks damn cool
