well i have hit a snag in my rebuild. i have everything disconnected off engine, engine is unbolted , but i am unable to pull it from frame. i am doin this all by hand by the way, so i dont have block and tackle or a hoist, is there another way to pull this from the frame? or am i gonna be stuck with ripping everything off the engine inside the frame? any help is appreciated. yes a do have the manual , and i been through all steps to remove the engine. it should be a walk in the park but it really aint.
I've heard of guys laying down some card board on the garage floor and then lay the bike over on its side and the pulling the frame from around the bike.
thanks for the help guys. greatly preciated, however a lil too late. i managed to shake it from the frame. was easy .........lol. i'll keep this here open as my rebuild keeps progressing. to really keep an eye open watch my blog.
ok so here i am reporting back. i have taken the jugs off both sides. the front piston is in great shape. however the back piston has a hole in it on the top. ...now as the story goes ,the guy i traded my rv with for this bike,siad he blew a ring . when it started smokin he shut her down , he told me it sat for 2 years. outside!!!!!! then to come too find out after the deal was made i found out that it has not ran for 9 years and sat out all season long for 4 years:ico n_screwy:. this guy did not treat it too well apparently. anyways here is my question. WHERE DO I FIND JUST A ORIGINAL PISTON FOR THIS AND THE RINGS.? any help would be awesome.
