Default Source for 16" Michelins?

At 12K, 1 yr, my rear tire is worn down. Besides the dealer, where can I get new Michelin Scorchers?

Front 130/90B16
Rear 150/80B16

I have not been able to find them.

TMK, the Scorchers are exclusively made for Harley to be sold by Harley. I don't see them listed by any of the popular tire dealers.

I suggest you look instead at the new Michelin Commander II tires which are very similar and getting very good reviews for both mileage and handling performance. You can find them at Jake Wilson. A 150 rear runs $128.00 with free shipping.

That's a few dollars better than when I order the Commander II a couple of months ago from a different source.

cHarley, I ordered a pair from JakeWilson.
Looks like the pair installed by an indy will cost the same as just the rear from the dealer.

Thanks !

I have a "take off" Scorcher rear tire with 240 miles on it sitting in my garage. Picked up a damn screw and replaced it. Could probably patch it and throw a new tube in it.

Good deal. I've found I can always do much better ordering tires on-line and then either mount them yourself or have an indy mount them vs going to the dealer for them. It also gives you a much wider variety of tires to choose from.

BTW: If you can mount them yourself, Dyna Beads eliminate the need for balancing and work great.
