How do I remove this fitting?

The black plastic part of this fitting broke off and apparently now this fitting has been replaced with just a brass L. How do I get the old one out? Bike is a 93 883 sportster.

Mcnasby, I had same issue with 95 Softail carb. Half plastic elbow cracked causing garage to smell of fuel. I removed carb, pulled old piece out with large pair vise grips. Installed new part.
I bought all metal replacement that was standard part many years before factory started using half plastic.
If you feel lucky you could remove carb, take to service writer at HD Dealer and ask how much to R&R parts.
Once you start this project you will need to remember how cables were installed and you may need to replace other pieces that some how become damaged or broken.. I recall having to adjust choke also. Take many pics while at different stages of replacement..Good luck whatever you decide to do..
