I like mine but i dont know about the prison bar look. i bet that really puts a bad affect on your headlight at night. i dont ride at night much anyways due to bugs, but just my two cents. i bought mine because i plan to put a dakoda digital speedo on and i wanted to keep it outta the wind if ya know what i mean!
I swear it makes me laugh to see how some people think that just because you add the visor to your sportie then that automatically makes you an SOA wannabe.
I liked the visor on the sportster ever since I saw that movie "Black Rain" with Michael Douglas.
He rode and drag raced a cafe sportster and it was simply badass!
That movie also came out in 1989 so I believe it was out at least a few weeks before SoA.
I like the dragster look of the visor and I added a mini tach on the XR1200 bracket, so that is why I put it on.
Another thing, most guys that rag on a "SoA fairing wearing sportster" are riding the exact bikes they ride in the show.
Because if I remember correctly...there are NO sportsters on SoA.
So who is the actual poser wannabe there? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=gZnM1hnt1Nw

i think i was searching online for something one day and came across ur bike somehow ! a photo or video im not sure , but i remember your sig photo for sure
this is what made me want the front cowl ! so to you sir thanks !
i love the way it looks , and to be honest im a short guy , this thing really works well to throw the wind off my chest and more to my head which i dont mind at all !!
I think it looks pretty bad ***, has some positive effects as it creates a air whirpool that slides of the speedo. I like the prison one but I share same feelings as not sure if it doesnt jeperdise your lights effect...if anyone has one would be great to hear some comments on the effects riding during night time..
I totally love my fairing. But I've never seen a sporty visor here in Florida expect mine. Are they just that uncommon or is it a west coast thing?
Some Harley owners have used cafe fairings for many years. The trend is mostly a Cali thing, but I'm beginning to see more in the midwest. I have one on my Sportster. It's amazing how such a small fairing can deflect wind.
