just outta curiosity, I'm gonna be getting my bike soon and i was lookin into the brake lock that harley sells (it's the orange disc lock that has the reminder cable).
does anyone have this, and if so, is it worth getting?
I've also noticed that there are other brands that look essentially the same (i.e. master lock); does anyone know how these compare to the harley-made lock?
2 or 4 people get out of a van or truck.
They lay a twin sized mattress next to your bike.
They lay your bike over on the mattress.
Then slide the mattress with your bike in the van or truck.
It did not matter what brand lock you had on your bike.

Disc locks are the way to go. Beware of guys in vans with mattresses as they're the only ones who will be able to move your bike. Oh, and guys with cranes.

no the this is true or they get 4 guys and some 2x4's or 2x6's and just lift the bike in the van and go. One day you will forget to remove the disc lock and try to ride off-let us know what happens then LOL! I don't even lock my bars anymore. if they want it they will get it.
Get the Xena XX10. It has a built in alarm and its insanely loud. Still not going to stop some dudes from throwing it in their van but the noise might turn some people away
Save your loot and up your theft if you are honestly worried. As I would NEVER steal a bike or anything else.... I could get those locks off in under 5 mins. As stated, lots of peeps forget the lock and do damage and $$$.
