Do they make a set up for a trailer to be trailered behind a sporty, menaing do they make a trailer light enough to be safely be trailered, and do any of you know where a hitch can be bought or is this somehting that would need be fabricated.

I haven't seen a trailer on a Sporty. However, a few weeks ago, I saw a Sporty that had been made into a Trike!!! It was actually a fairly nice lookin trike, if you're into that type of thing.
If they can make a Sporty into a trike, I'm sure a trailer could be fabricated.

I don't have an answer for you but I would google to see if I could locate some manufacturers and e-mail them your question. My guess is; yes, the Sportster has more than enough power to pull a small, light trailer.
