My new paint job - Black Crakote!?!
I wanted some opinions about my idea/plans for a new paint job this fall. Im a big gun nut and I have a local guy (gun smith) who has done most of my guns in Cerakote and its just amazing stuff.

Its heat, scratch, rust, salt ect. proof! its just plain awesome. I've been planning/saving for a semi-gloss OR flat black paint job on my sporty that is now black and gold. I just love all black & Chrome bikes. Ive got a local paint and body guy who said hed fix all my dents and dings and paint the whole bike semi gloss black for $550 which aint a bad deal (thats including all the work of taking apart and putting back together the bike).
However I think I can get my Cerakote guy to do the whole bike (flat black) for about $500 as long as I take off the tank and fenders and bring them to him. the process is a baking (kinda like powder coating) process.
I think it'll look as bad *** as it will be functional and damn near indestructible...plus ill be the only person I know with a cerakote'd Hog! Just wanted some feed back- Thanks fellas.
