I purchased a windshield for me new sportster and it looks like maybe the wrong one was in the box. after getting the quick release clamps on the windshield braces and holding it up to the bike it looks like the clams are too far apart. so I measured and yep. I have 6.5" between the crowns and the braces when flat are closer to 6.75" appart. I can get the gap at the edge down to 6.5" but then the top clamp is at such and extreme angle that there is no way it could close.
so do any of you have the quick release windshield could you measure the space between the clamps. and tell me what it is or does anyone have experience and know whats up?
the box had been resealed thats why I wonder if maybe they had just put the wrong one back in somehow?
Awesome Thank you redrub. mine are 6.5 between the clamps .. 5 would be correct .. wrong screen in box.. easy enough to fix..another trip to the dealer .. again thank you.
